Welcome to Huntington Harbour
Located about 40 miles east of mid-Manhattan on Long Islandís north shore, Huntington Township offers its residents the best of both worlds. While enjoying one of the beaches that incorporate Huntingtonís 51 miles of shoreline or boating in one of its five harbors, it seems hard to believe that the fast pace of New York City is only an hour away. This historic township covers 93 square miles of northwestern Suffolk County. Its terrain features rolling hills along the shore, which tapers off to the flatter land that characterizes the southern most portion of the township.
With an estimated population of approximately 201,000 residents, the township of Huntington contains four incorporated villages and approximately fifteen towns and residential communities. They include:
Incorporated Villages: Asharoken, Huntington Bay, Lloyd Harbor, Northport
Towns and Residential Communities: Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Dix Hills, E. Northport, Eaton's Neck, Elwood, Ft. Salonga, Greenlawn, Huntington, Huntington Station, Melville, Northport, West Hills, South Huntington
